Vancouver Indian Community is raising funds to help India fight the 2nd wave of Covid. Following fundraisers have been setup by the local community members.

Fundraiser by Vivek Canada:
The COVID-19 pandemic is spreading like wildfire in India. Each day India is breaking bleak global pandemic records. Desperation is increasing and with the movement of people, corona is now spreading to rural areas as well. If the pandemic spreads to rural areas, it will be catastrophic.
Vivek Canada is a registered Canadian charity since 2006 #(80815 8679 RR0001). For the past fifteen years Vivek Canada has been working with villagers in rural and remote areas. These villagers are currently in lock down and unfortunately 1-2 deaths a day are being reported. The nearest hospital is 25km away. With the devastation unfolding in India, we would like to help the rural areas in preventing the spread of the virus.
We humbly ask you to join us in raising funds to provide:
– Medical supplies
– Oxygen concentrators
– Kits containing masks and hand sanitizer
– Food supplies to those unable to work and/or leave their homes
